LIBOR Names 2005 REALTOR® Broker of the Year
Ralph Bove

November 30, 2005 - West Babylon, NY - The Long Island Board of Realtors, Inc. (LIBOR) is pleased to announce that Realtor® Broker Ralph Bove of Prudential Douglas Elliman has been named the recipient of the prestigious Realtor-Broker of the Year award. The announcement was made recently at the association’s Annual Installation & Awards Dinner held at the Crest Hollow Country Club in Woodbury.

Ralph has been in the real estate industry for over 26 years. He brings with him a tremendous background from his original perspective as an agent up to a Corporate Officer in one of the largest real estate firms not only on Long Island but in the country as well.

His experience with our MLS, Board, State and National Associations reveals a broad range of interests and contributions. He was the MLS President in 1994 after serving on many committees. He continued his service in the Technology area having served as MLS Technology Chairman for many years.

In 2000, he was elected the President of LIBOR, the culmination of many years of commitment and involvement as an officer and committee member.

Active on the State level as a Director since 1996, he has also chaired a number of committees. He has served on virtually all state level committees just as he has done on the local level. Additionally, he has served nationally as a Director, both in a cpacity representing the Board and more recently as an industry representative on behalf of large firms.

His involvement and loyalty as a Realtor however comes in second to his loyalty to his family and probably his love of boating. He is an outstanding family man and a man committed to his industry and the well being of his fellow Realtors.

Barbara Frechter, last year’s recipient of the award, said “Ralph Bove may be very proud that he is the 2005 Realtor of the Year but frankly we are very proud that Ralph Bove is one of us.”
